	TYROLEAN HUT TO HUT TREKKING An 8 day holiday that gives you the opportunity to trek through this popular area using mainly mountain huts but, using a good comfortable sport hotel for your first & last nights accommodation. Breakfast, Supper & packed lunches are included in the published price. Insurance and transport to the local joining point of either Innsbruck or the Hotel is not included. NO LOCAL PAYMENTS DAY ONE: Arrival day You can join group transfer from Innsbruck Airport or Railway Station transfer to hotel in Sellrain by Taxi or Minibus. Your evening meal will be taken at your hotel, during which plans for the week will be discussed & you will get to know each other. DAY TWO: Leaving our unwanted luggage at the hotel we will walk through woodland, enjoying the scenery. Then after our picnic lunch, gradually gaining hight until we reach our destination for the night the Potsdamerhutte. A relaxing evening meal at the hut. DAY THREE: Leaving the Potsdamerhutte we head through a glaciated valley then over a pass leading towards the Franz Senn Hutte. On route you may have the opportunity to summit a minor peak, the Wildkopf, supplement your lunch at a local hunters cabin & view a wide range of alpine flowers in their natural habitat. After being allocated your bed for the night and having a relaxing shower, there should be time for a beer before your supper. DAY FOUR: A steady climb takes us up to the Horntaler Joch at 2819m. We may take a detour to the minor but difficult peak of Schafgrubler from here, depending on the group and conditions. A long descent takes us down to the valley floor & Lisens. Once a monastary and refuge for pilgrims, now a bar offering overnight accommodation. DAY FIVE: From Lisens we head back South into the valley before turning West and climbing towards our next overnight stop, the Westfalenhaus. One of my favourite mountain huts. Possibility of climbing Schontalspitz in the afternoon 3008m. DAY SIX: A long hard day, passing through frozen wastelands before ascending the magnificent Zwiselbach Joch a chance to enjoy the views before a descent to the Shweinfurter-Hutte, a welcome shower & our supper. DAY SEVEN: An early start takes us up to the Gleirschjocht & a chance to summit the Gleirscher 3000m, before descending down to the Glierschof hutte. From here it's a nice relaxing stroll down into Gries in Sellrain and our comfortable hotel. Don't miss the chance of some Kaisersmarren and a beer before you relax in the sauna. DAY EIGHT: After a good nights sleep & a relaxing breakfast we prepare to leave for Innsbruck airport or railway station. You may however, wish to continue your holiday elsewhere, UKAlpine will endeavour to assist if required.

AIR & RAIL TRAVEL TO THE START POINT With low cost flights being so easy and cheap to buy and some clients now preferring to travel by rail or coach we find it best for our clients to encourage them to book their own transport. Munich, Verona & Innsbruck are the nearest airports for this trip and an easy, reliable rail transfer from Munich Airport to Innsbruck station exists. We will endeavour to assist you in any way we can with your transport arrangements. An up to date fact sheet, with latest rail & flight information will be available early 2008 to help any other queries can be directed by email or telephone.
